Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress comedian, activist, and actress. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actress as a child soon after her move to the United States. She is best known for her appearances on AT&T commercials on TV. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and then 2020 (since 2020). She was a regular host of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl for Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot television series called New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish, born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and she fled antisemitism when she was just two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. Her family's financial troubles caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. But, she dropped out of her sophomore year and obtained the GED. After that she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of California San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
